Work activities that may be relevant include: balance, coordination, memory, and reliable attendance. Explain which tasks are difficult, how often difficulties happen, and what help or adjustments you use.
Symptoms and limitations to describe
- How long you can sustain an activity before needing a break
- How symptoms vary from one day to the next
- How treatment or appointments affect your schedule
- Whether symptoms continue despite prescribed care
General SSDI and SSI considerations
For adult disability claims, SSA considers the severity and expected duration of limitations, medical evidence, and work ability. SSDI also generally requires qualifying work history. SSI has financial and other nonmedical rules.
